Update on the Kindle Fire 6 battery drain. I have fix it.
Well sort of I can tell you the culprit is Silk. No I don't use it but for some reason it keeps freezing but I didn't know that till GSam showed me. I clear data and rebooted and problem has not come back in 2 days.
I also was clued in because on my HD 7 Silk keeps freezing and nothing but a clear data and reboot fixes it. However unlike the 7 there is seems to no significant drain but on the 6 there was when it did that. A bad firmware bug indeed. My advice is use another browser until it gets fixed and keep an eye on it.
How to tell you Silk isn't working when you open it up it does nothing. You can't type anything. I have the problem on both tablets so it's got to be a bad bug.
