Get one with two or three HDMI outlets. Also avoid the ones where the HDMI slots point towards the floor, and unless it's going to be wall mounted. Otherwise, it is a pain to access the outlets. Make sure the outlets are going to be accessible where ever it is you are going to put the TV. Get one with 1080p output, rather than just 720p. Get at least 32".

I wouldn't spend money on a "smart TV" that's just more stuff to break.
