I tend toward minimalism in many aspects of life and prefer uncluttered spaces (a coworker has been known to say other than my one or two personal items in my cube they wouldn't know whether it was deserted), especially visually. I actually go back and forth between this and the wider spacing, leaning more toward the wider line spacing option. That said, 3 options is plenty for me as it fits well with the minimal but sufficient mindset.

edit: and now that you mentioned it I noticed that I was on the middle setting and have now increased it to the higher setting, which looks even better IMO.
