Thank you hawhill, a clean reinstall did the trick. This is what the problem was: I merged the new and old koreader folder, but since the input.lua file had changed location, I ended up with two of these files in different locations. The new one, in the folder koreder\frontend\device, had to be manually changed (from X01 Y00 to X00 Y01) to make the device work properly.
Did I say that Koreader is a great app? Kudos to the developers for their effort.
