Fire HDX 7" with 4G LTE - Must I activate AT&T $G?
I'm sorry to say that I am tablet-ignorant, not ever having owned one.

The Fire HDX 7" with 4G LTE deal today looks interesting, but I don't want the 4G, etc. -- just the WiFi.

Must I activate the contract with AT&T? If I don't, will that have any effect of the performance of the device?

Not sure if this is a good deal ($159 for 64 GB), as a maintenance contract is not available...
