Sorry, I lost this one.

When connecting to the content server, CC requires wifi to be turned on only if the "Allow connecting using 3G" option in the content server connection section is not checked. If that option is checked then CC simply tries to connect. If that fails then something in the networking stack is causing the problem.

So, try turning on that option.
