It is a $3.99 Android app which connects over WiFi to calibre appearing as a device, can understand all of calibre's metadata, and acts as your bookshelf on your tablet, so you can sort thorough your books and launch them in a reader app.

The developer is a long-standing MobileRead member and sometimes calibre code contributor. Among other things, he created calibre plugboards and custom columns.

Calibre Companion is, in the humble opinions of many MobileRead members, the best $3.99 an ebook lover can spend.
