I had not, but I got to a wifi hotspot, where at first there seemed to be the same problem. But it quickly displayed something like: "Updating your Amazon store...", after which the populated storefront showed up and I was able to search for and down load the book. When I got back from my excursion and back on 3G, the Storefront displayed but searching still silently gave no result.
At that point I did a restart and the store now seems functional. I suspect the store needs to be primed with wifi before it will work with 3G. I wish the Voyage were less coy and more proactive and forthcoming when it has problems.
