On my screen (I use the Windows version) it looks like all of the shades (I probably should have called them shades instead of colors) on screen are various shades of light grey with the exception of the text and blue highlights, making it very glaring to my eyes. I've found that after a while my eyes start to feel tired from looking at it. Added to that is the small size of the text. Even at its large size the text looks to be about 8 points in size (its definitely smaller than 10 point).

One of the things I like about MediaMonkey (MM) is that I can skin it (altering the screen colors and icons) and alter the size of the text. I use a skin (called Metro M) that makes the screen dark with light text with the text at 18 points, making for a very easy-to-look at screen. For fans of iTunes, there are skins that can make MM look like iTunes.
