Since this case is the same one I got for my HD6, I feared I might have the same problem (the charging port cover not returning to a flush position). After charging the phone, the port cover does return to a flush position; so I'm quite pleased.

Meanwhile, the port cover on the HD6 still sticks out. It slowly gets close to being flush, but never gets there. Because it sticks out a bit, it has snagged on things a few times. I may end up cutting it off. That said, I still like the case.
