Daffy,
I just got off the phone with Amazon (I called them because I was curious as to what would happen if Amazon lost the rights on a particular book ... would it be removed from the Media Library of all users .... answer yes, so back up your purchases people).
It turns out that you can purchase as many Kindles as you want ... HOWEVER, you can only have six Kindles registered to any one account.
So, if you owned twelve Kindles, you would have to have two accounts at Amazon and you would have to authorize and deauthorize the Kindles between the two accounts in order to read the various books that were purchased on each account.
Although .... now I've got another question for them .... and I think I'll write this one instead of calling it in.
Since there is the possibility that a book could be removed from your Media Library (because the publisher pulls it), granted that you can download books to your computer to keep a back up copy .... if the book you download is keyed to a PID, then .... how do you go from backup copy back to each of your Kindles??
I haven't had any problems .... but I want to see what they have to say about it.
