Here is the file.
I own the copyright so no issues there.
All I do is
1)open the file
2)open the images link
3)right click on images link and choose select all
4)right click again and click delete
5)click delete marked files.
6)CRASH!
I made a duplicate copy and tried with preview window closed and it did not crash, which supports both of your theories about the preview window being involved.
Please let me know if you need any other information from me.
I am anxious to see what you think after viewing it for yourselves.
