, the only issue is to get further OTA (assuming you go to Lollipop) you'll have to unroot to get them as the OTA system has been updated to check all system files and only update them if they are correct, thus root breaks OTA.
But I'm rooted on the stock kernel on both a Nexus 5 and Nexus 4 running lollipop.
