Haha you guys are funny. It's interesting watching you guys debate over what I use to access this stuff. I actually previously learned super basic Linux command lines, which were: copy/paste, navigate through directories, make new files, delete files, making files read/writeable, and a bit about mount/unmounting, but that's basically it. I tried forcing myself to use ubuntu before, but either the functionality wasn't quite there for whatever reason for school purposes, or I didn't have enough time/anyone to teach me. I'm also a PC gamer, so there's that too.

pdf is natively supported on Kindle PW I believe. Do you use KOReader instead of the native reader most of the time? It seems almost the same (at first glance) in terms of features, except for the OCR feature which I'm not sure if Kindle PW has.

I tried extracting stardict but it has been giving me problems (unexpected end of archive, file is broken). The file is also 2.67GB which makes me think twice about keeping KOReader (I'd want the optional dictionary if I keep it). Is there any to have it point to Amazon's pre-loaded dictionaries or make it smaller?
Edit: I'm assuming 2.67GB is a bunch of languages, not just English.

What is the purpose of the "no framework" versions of the start filemanager/open document?

OTOH, I am typing these very words in skipstone.

screensavers hack if your Kindle is non-SO.
I tried Midori browser but it's not... perfectly ported to the PW. On opening, takes forever/you can click stuff "behind" the splash screen, and on closing, it opens the screen saver as well as the power menu (shows up after getting rid of the screensaver)

Would probably annoy me after a while, but it kind of feels more polished than skipstone and it has adblock/other extensions.

Is there any way to use the browser portrait mode and any way to replace the experimental browser button to link to skipstone (may be asking too much for this one)?

I take it back, screensaver mod is nice even with the magnetic cover; can still be briefly seen after opening it.
