Issue 1- I bought a Kindle Voyage Warrenty from Amazon (Square Trade) on the 12th November. I realised yesterday it hasn't been linked to my Voyage so I gave Amazon a call. An hour later after being transfered to the Amazon Square Trade team I was told they had a 'technical error' and the Warrenty would have to be cancelled and I would have to buy a new one, which I did. However no one is actually auctioning the refund. The Square Trade team say it's been done but the payments people say they don't know anything about it. The square trade people are know saying it was done on the 15th November, which it hasn't as it wasn't even cancelled until yesterday.
Issue 2- I bought a Warrenty for my Kindle Fire yesterday from Amazon (Square Trade). It has now been cancelled as, whilst dealing with my other issue, it was discovered that it doesn't cover the cost of a Fire HD6 16GB only the 8GB. Amazon don't have a Warrenty for the 16Gb device. So I'm waiting for another refund now. I'm not buying another Warrenty for the Fire.
So the upshot is I need two refunds totally £55 and no one has any idea how I'll get them. I've spent about 8 hours on the phone in total since yesterday morning with both Square Trade and Amazon and even ST have had enough of the Amazon team.
I'll never buy another Square Trade Warrenty again, I know that much. Any future devices I buy will come from a retailer like John Lewis who offer a longer Warrenty. I've had it with Amazon.
