Is it necessary to apply a screen protector to the PW2?

I will definitely buy the leather covers available for it .

But are screen protectors necessary??

I am afraid it will decrease contrast or increase glare.

I am also not great at installing screen protectors and end up ruining them.

But if the screens are scratch prone I will have to install them.

I read the outer layer of the screen is plastic and scratches become noticable with the light on.
