If you'd like one more shot at v0.8.x, try giving the unofficial legacy windows version a shot.

Not that you have a legacy version of Windows or anything, but because that build uses a different pre-compiled version of Qt5.3.2 (VS2010/OpenGL vs VS2013/ANGLE).
