I have been thinking hard about this. One big change is that I'm going to start recording my purchases in UK£ instead of US$. When I started buying ebooks, I bought nearly all of them from Fictionwise or Baen, both of which charged in dollars. Now I find I'm buying almost exclusively from Amazon and Kobo, both of which charge me UK£.

I think I will set my spending target at no more than £25 per month, tha is, £300/year. This is a small reduction from this year's target of $480 or £320 at my nominal £1:$1.5 exchange rate.

In addition, I shall try to keep below an average of 15 books bought per month. That is, under 180 for the entire year. So no buying only £0.99 bargains and ending up with 300 new books!

I will aim for 200 books read in the year. But I won't be upset if I don't make it - next year might be rather busy and stressful.
