Has anyone else noticed this? There were NO wolf spiders lurking in the leaf piles. Usually they are swarming this time of year - especially during a warm spell in which leafs have piled up under the trees - and I see them climbing out of the bags. Didn't see one this time. I wonder if last year's hard freezes actually reduced the bug populations enough to affect the spider populations?

Weather was actually very nice for my long drive today. Cool, but above freezing (so no ice on the road), and overcast until sunset (so no need for sunglasses).
