Bought it at Staples for $119 and also a 2 year warranty for $19. If anything goes wrong in the first two years I am covered and deal with Staples, not Amazon. Just an extra insurance.

I think you made a good choice. I really enjoy my Paperwhite.

For a cover, I initially bought the Amazon cover for, I think $40 and it was fine but way too heavy. It added about 60 pounds to the weight of the device. Well, okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little but it seemed like that after I'd held it up to read for a while.

Since then I bought one of these:

I bought that about 2 years ago and it finally wore out and I got another one about 2 weeks ago and it's better than the first one was. It seems they've improved the fit, which wasn't bad to begin with.

It doesn't add much weight to the Paperwhite and it's smaller and more comfortable to hold, even ignoring the weight difference. And it seems to protect it about as well.

I think the one from Amazon is probably a lot sturdier but 2 years is fine with me for that price.
