How quickly things can change. My post above was less than a month ago.

Now I'm expecting delivery of my $100 fire-pod tomorrow. (Amazon does Sunday delivery around here). The year of prime was added to my account this morning, I would have been renewing in a couple of weeks anyway.

Since I use t-mobile pre-paid already, the unlocked phone should be just the thing for me.
