It is about as sharp as an 800 x 600 6" screen.

One thing I've learned over the years is that sharpness matters only as much as the software. The InkPad's ebook rendering software could be improved upon, so even though the Ocean has a lower resolution screen there is room for the Ocean to outperform the InkPad.
