The World of Ice and Fire did indeed drop back to match the US Google Play promo price, and this time I promptly snapped it up (and scored a sweet deal from Chapters on the hardcover as well, and if Archambault gives me a nice coupon, I'll be able to get a good deal on the French translation as well).
