The Manual to Manhood: How to Cook the Perfect Steak, Change a Tire, Impress a Girl & 97 Other Skills You Need to Survive by is Jonathan Catherman is one of those slightly tongue-in-cheek catch-all step-by-step acquiring useful life skills & manners how-to advice guides, with bonus trivia, free courtesy of Christian publisher Baker's Revell imprint.
I had a look inside this one, and it seemed a rather nifty and fairly standard kind of slightly humorous how-to kind of guide, with no overt faith mentions or "inspirational" tone, and secular persons (including women and ambiguously gendered individuals) wishing to know how to cook the perfect steak, change a tire, impress a girl, etc. could well make use of it too.
Currently free, probably just for one day @
B&N (may also in the
UK by mid-afternoon; Baker freebies are pretty sporadic about this),
Amazon UK (slated to drop in the
main store after midnight Pacific Time),
Kobo &
iTunes &
Google Play (all available to Canadians), and
Christian Book (ADE-DRM ePub available worldwide).
And this has been the selected 3rd (non-repeat) free ebook thread of the day.
Because it really is pretty nifty and fairly educational and mildly amusing, in a useful way that you can actually apply IRL (as compared to in an academic way which is fun in other respects, but I'd have to admit is not particularly practical for most people's purposes). And as I've said before, we don't get nearly enough quality non-fiction official publisher promo freebies, and this helps add another to our small bookshelf of such.
Enjoy!
