Not sure if you're aware of this, but Amazon tacks new Prime memberships onto the end of your current one. That way, you lose nothing. For me, I just got two more Prime memberships (Kindle-Prime promo, Fire Phone) and they'll be tacked onto my current one. I'm now good for another two years.
I have to wait till I get the money. My birthday money I should have had but it turns out my mother's is waiting on her check which seems to be lost so I just have to wait till it all works out.

Does the prime renew on the account you buy it from or does it renew on the account the phone is registered to. So if someone bought it as a gift would they get the prime or would the person getting the gift?
