I did the same thing. $100 for a 32GB Fire "iPod touch" with superior hardware? It's a no-brainer.

Not sure if you're aware of this, but Amazon tacks new Prime memberships onto the end of your current one. That way, you lose nothing. For me, I just got two more Prime memberships (Kindle-Prime promo, Fire Phone) and they'll be tacked onto my current one. I'm now good for another two years.
