The process really sucked, as usual. I connected my iPad to my Mac Mini via USB tether to ensure a faster download and install. This is the first time I used the newest version of iTorture iTunes. I backed up my iPad. This took forever! Seriously, they cannot speed this simple write process up? WTF!! Then I selected to upgrade to iOS 8.1.x and was told that my iPad had apps on it that were not backed up. Really, WTF did the backup do? So I selected apps and told it to back them up. A long effing time later...I again selected to upgrade to iOS 8.1.x. It took a painfully long time, but it finally updated. Definitely not going through this with my iPhone 5 any time soon.

And BTW, WTF good is iTunes if it doesn't automatically update the apps when you update them on you iPad or iPhone? That should frigging be standard operating procedures. Why have a cloud that doesn't automatically update apps or photos to iTunes in the background? What a POS. Seriously Apple, get back to function over form, fire IVE and get some good programmers and managers instead.

And then iTunes went on forever after I tethered my iPhone to it to backup. After 30 minutes I finally said screw it and try to cancel the GD backup/sync, but it wouldn't. I finally unplugged the iPhone and did a forced quit of iTorture. Worthless program IMO.

And one more thing, for the ghost of Jobs, the damn WiFi sync is totally useless. Hence the tethering!

I'm always on call, so having my iPhone fully functional is critical. So I thinking may wait a bit more for that.

Having said that, I would like to upgrade my iPad Air. How long do you think that the while process took Jack, 30 min maybe? Also, which apps got broken? Documents (an app to read PDFs) and Kindle are the more important to me.
