One thing is certain, Amazon has totally screwed up their naming. What they're doing now confuses people. What they should've done from the get go was this:

Fire Series
  • Fire 1
  • Fire 2

Fire HD Series
  • Fire HD 6-1
  • Fire HD 7-1
  • Fire HD 7-2
  • Fire HD 7-3
  • Fire HD 8-1

Fire HDX Series
  • Fire HDX 7-1
  • Fire HDX 8-1
  • Fire HDX 8-2
That would make too much sense.
