I read both pbooks and ebooks.
- For portability, ease of borrowing/buying, decluttering, and oftentimes for price, ebooks can't be beat.
- However, I prefer reading art/photography/picture books, textbooks, and technical manuals in paper form.
- I also like reading periodicals in paper form, but I do so only in waiting rooms or at the library, bookstore, or others' homes; I don't want them cluttering my home, so those read regularly I consume digitally.
- If I'm keen on reading a book that's only available in pbook form at that time, then I'll (reluctantly) take the pbook. [I had to do that earlier this month, when books 4 (The Sacrifice) and 5 (The Fallen) in Charlie Higson's The Fear series were only available at my libraries in pbook form.
- I prefer reading the Holy Bible in pbook form (despite having several versions in my e-library).
- And, of course - as someone posted upthread - I only take paper books to the beach, in my case both to protect my ereader from the elements and so I won't worry about leaving it unattended while I'm in the water.
