In CC, go to Settings, scroll down to Font Sizes. Change the first two sizes. The first one, "Bold, primary lines" changes the size of the first line in the book list, usually Title but sometimes Authors, and also the size of the font in the grouping drawer. The second one changes the font sizes for the rest of the lines in the book list.
Regarding spacing, there isn't very much and what there is can't be changed. If you are seeing a lot of space above and below the text then it is probably added because of the size of the cover thumbnail. Try making it smaller: Settings, Covers and Thumbnails, List view thumbnail size.
