My ereader of choice is as tolerant of the cold as I am, so no need to switch. When I'm taking it somewhere it fits in my coat pocket, which zips shut, so it's secure.

Be interesting to see how cold temperatures would affect the NiMH batteries I use for it. Back in the 70s I had to keep spare batteries for my 35mm SLR (film) camera inside my coat because temps much below freezing would "deactivate" them. I haven't had any problems like that with my ereader, though.
