No guarantee on the 'Destroy' . For that you need a hard drive shredder. (It is a MONSTER sized paper shredder in a truck that businesses use to destroy drive data they don't want recovered. EVER )

The Company I was working for had a much needed shipment of Point of Sale computers arrive almost at the deadline because the truck could not get through because of an ice storm.
We unloaded the truck, Opened the 20 cartons immediately, Powered them on to do the needed configuration. 50% had permanent hard drive issues within the first hour (We had installed over 1000 of these previously with no problem). We replaced the drives and finished the configuration and installed them in the store that evening. 2 more drive failed within the week.
From then on, all systems set on the bench without power for 24 hours. No more problems.
