got my fire stick today and its a nice piece of kit. I had some growing pains though...plugged in then entered wifi password. "can't connect to amazon, remove power for a few second". Did that, re-enter wifi password which then connects and "cannot download update". pull power again, now enter password again and download software update.
Software update installs and doesn't hold wifi password so re-enter that. "can't connect to amazon, re-enter wifi password". Re-enter password and finally get everything going.
As for the android app, connected to stick then disconnected halfway through an un-skippable tutorial. Re-connects and then disconnects halfway through an un-skippable tutorial. Re-connects and makes it through tutorial and as I am about to use it, it disconnects.
I don't believe its my wifi network as none of my other devices have any issues.
Overall though, I am happy with my $20 purchase. I am sure a few more updates (to the stick and app) will help stabilize things.
