Yes, I see the same thing on occasion. I zap all ratings in calibre and then use "Modify ePub" to make sure the metadata is updated/saved in the ePub before I send it to Marvin, but a few ratings do sneak in. I just delete them using Marvin's "Actions" and wonder why it happens!
