So, assume I select a view I just created called "Plain View", I adjust column widths to what suits me and select [I] View-Manager->Save column widths[/U].
Then at some future time I change one or more column widths - presumably to see something that's hidden - to get back to the saved widths I would refresh by selecting View-Manager->Plain View
The same applies to column position, if I drag columns around - usually for the convenience of editing metadata - then when I'm done I would refresh by selecting View-Manager->Plain View
'Twould be good if the PI had a refresh current view action
I just did a test with Connect to my Pseudo Device folder active, the above process seemed to work. Maybe someone could do a test with a real device connected - Terisa de Morgan uses the PI.
Added - of course, you do need to have a View you can refresh - I think it creates a default View automagically based on... hmmm good question... which I probably tweaked. But it seems to works on the default view for me.

I use three views:
- One with the device (my Kindle) plugged in.
- One without the device.
- One I use specifically when dealing with series.
None of them are "true" defaults, as in I do not have it set to use a specific view when I open calibre - I chose one manually.
