I had a DX which was 3G only. After that experience, I've stayed with WiFi-only. My Kindle and I visit the same coffee shops and cafes so after a few weeks my Kindle knows most of my haunts.
If the power goes off, which it does sometimes, I'm stuck to reading the thirty or forty books I've downloaded to my Kindle. Oh, woe is me.
