There was a BF ad for B&N that had the SGT 4 Nook on sale for $130, but that ad has since disappeared. Don't know why. Usually ads disappear because stores issue take down notices (they don't want their ads leaked too soon).

If it were me, I'd do what eschwartz suggested and get the regular version. Like he said, there are special Nook apps in the Play appstore that will get you the Nook features found on the Nook version.

So far, the best deal is from Office Depot for $150 + a free $25 Google Play Gift Card = effective price of $125. Check the BF thread for other offers.

Also, both Samsung and B&N are offering free gifts with the purchase of a Galaxy Tab. Personally, I think the Samsung freebies are much better than the $200 worth of free content you get from B&N:
