I'd also add you have to look at this in one of two ways:
  • it's an urban fantasy, with romantic elements
  • it's a 5-book romance novel

I didn't care for this series at all - and I'll never know if it was because I went into it expecting Moning's typical romance novel style... ADDED: Okay, I know I hated the cliff-hangers. Would have always. So after book 2, I waited until all 5 were released. I still didn't like the series at the end of it, but YMMV as always.
