Now, does the Active Content, e.g. KUAL and friends work?

If so, you can install MobileRead Package Installer, the new friendly neighborhood package installer.
Since NiLuJe says fw>=5.6.1 will not accept our update.bin's, this is necessary to reinstall hacks.

See which hacks still work. While you're at it, you may as well install everything from the snapshots, since they have installation feedback.

It is possible some things may need to be updated for the new firmware.
