The app doesn't close for me, it just pauses at the chapter break. Until I wake the device and then it will start again.
Downloading or streaming, same thing.
As for downloading, sometimes it will, sometimes it won't. Sometimes it's super slow, sometimes it's not. I've sent them the log file they requested. I haven't tried the audio books on a tablet, yet, but I will try it out just to see what happens.
At this point, if the library has it, I'll get it there. Scribd does have some audio books not available at my libraries, though.
