I don't think so. On Kindles, the annotations are read from the file "My Clippings.txt". I don't think that file has the current reading position in it. I might be wrong as I didn't write that code. If it does, and that is put into the annotations column, then you can modify the script to read these annotations rather than where they are currently being read from.

The alternative, and better option in my mind, is to write a plugin that reads the value from wherever the calibre is reading it from and populates the column directly.
