Look at what you want to load, and see how much space it would take. Think in terms of 32gb without sd card and see how much you will have left over.

I felt the same way as you, but I went ahead and purchased a Nexus 2012 w 32gb and after loading 1000+ books and over 600+ songs I still have over 20gb of space to fill!
