1. Download the attached pim.zip and extact it somewhere
2. Edit the extracted pim.reg and change the path to the bin folder where you installed the eBook Library:
Code:
"PIM_Path"="C:\\Program Files\\Sony\\Reader\\Data\\bin\\"
All backslashes have to be doubled and there have to be two trailing ones.
3. Double-click the .reg to import it into registry.
4. That's all! Now Digital Editions should see the Reader when you connect it.

Hi guys,
This is my first post! I've been lurking on this site for awhile, finally took the plunge and bought the Sony 505 yesterday.
Thanks to this post, I was able to install the Sony Library onto my Vista 64bit OS. It was easy and went without a hitch.
The problem I'm having is getting ADE to recognize the device. If I can't get it to work, I may have to return the Reader. One of the main reason I got the Reader was so that I can borrow library books, so I really do need the ADE to work.
The problem I'm having with the instruction is the "edit the pim file" part. I downloaded and unzipped the pim file, but when I right click on it, I don't have an option to open it with notepad. How do I go about editing this file?
Thanks in advance.
