Yes, it's KitKat. My understanding though is that KitKat will let an app read and write to a folder on the SD card that it owns. Therefore I think this is an app issue and we just need the Moon+ developer to have Moon+ create a folder on the external SD card and then it would be able to write everythign in that folder. Currently Moon+ can only select an existing file, there's no way to create a folder.

I've contacted the developer about this and suggest that others do likewise. He seems pretty responsive I wouldn't think it's a huge change so maybe we can get an update.
