I would suggest downloading the free library management program, Calibre, and the Nook for PC app, and then googling "Apprentice Alf" to learn how to disinfect your books, store them in Calibre, and load them either wirelessly or via USB to your Nook HD, thereby no longer having to rely on BN's cloud to download your books.

We can't discuss the details if disinfecting books here on MR, which is why you must google "Apprentice Alf" to learn what to do.
