i chose reading under the covers, which i did do as a child.

but my parents were super pro-reading - one of them read to my sister and me every single night, at least one chapter or two if we were lucky. and they took us to the library regularly from the time i was 5 and my sister younger, letting us take our time to choose what we wanted, although always willing to help with the choices if we wanted. they also bought books for us that suited our personalities, as well as letting us choose our own books.
