I had the same experience. Couldn't see any defects on my 23" monitor even after enlarging the pics to full screen via CTL-+. But could clearly see the gradients on my 4.7" phone. Go figure.

The real test would be a live meetup. A gradient-aware owner brings their faulty Voyage to a coffee shop and meets a gradient unaware person.
