Tubemonkey! You're falling down on the job! I think that someone has actually scooped you on a audiobook news item!

Scribd (http://www.scribd.com) sent me an email in the early afternoon here (EST) about a new benefit to their monthly book subscription service. Here's part of the blurb:

"Scribd now gives you unlimited access to more than 30,000 audiobooks, including new releases, award-winning recordings & beloved classics narrated by acclaimed actors . . . . Even better, it's still just $8.99 a month, and your first month is on us. That means you can now enjoy access to the largest unlimited e-book and audiobook subscription service around, all for the lowest price around."

There has been a copious amount of discussion on one or more threads in this forum on Scribd--mostly about whether or not it is worth the cost (this is before the audiobook access began), I think. You might be interested in reading some of that, even if your main interest is in the audiobook service.

Personally, I want to "own" my ebooks and audiobooks, rather than borrow them. But "to each his own."
