Post Gladden, Washington: The Church and Modern Life v1, 26 November 2008

Washington Gladden, (February 11, 1836 - July 2, 1918) was a leading American Congregational church pastor and early leader of the Social Gospel movement.

The writer writes about God purifying the church, and how God starts with his own first.
Times of then are like times of now. The interesting part is to see how people dealt with church issues in the 1900's and how much of it is still applicable today!
