Hi there Chi Cygni. Kobo was "so clever" that designed a waterproof ereader with a big size so you can't wear it everywhere inside your pocket. So it contradicts the need of a waterproof ereader.

True, but some ereaders manage it much better than kobo. Kobo should have spent that wasted time in waterproof research, in quality software, design and hardware instead, having in mind that the lightning is very, very far from perfection, with those dark shades and other annoyances which, sincerely, if you're regular readers, must find it very disappointing. I even feel disappointed when I find an irregularity in a paper page in a book that I like, like a stain, lighter font, and so on; how would I feel if I had to visualize that stain (shadow, lightning unevenness, etc) on every page of every book? Lightning is VERY, VERY important, and these companies are losing their time not working for what human readers really need: a device which drops no complaints about its BASIC features: Lightning and Design. Both KOBO and Amazon receive a FAIL in this exam. KOBO has a worse mark than AMAZON in the lightning section, and both KOBO and Amazon have a -5 in design: KOBO because of those primitive raised bezels which drop undesiderable shadows and feeling, and because of page turn buttons lack. AMAZON because of the primitive smartphone size for a 200€ / 219$ device. Ereaders are made ONLY to read, and what else can we expect from a device which is made ONLY to read if not at least a perfect screen? Shameful.
